What is Outlier AI?

Outlier is a platform that links subject matter experts to contribute to the development of the most advanced generative artificial intelligence (AI) models  in the world. Outlier contributors work on a variety of projects, from generating training data in their subject of focus to advancing the AI models to evaluating their performances.

What qualifications are needed to work at Outlier? 

Outlier expects candidates to have a deep understanding of the domain of focus they are applying for. Typically, juniors and seniors in the domain’s undergraduate programs meet the minimum requirements. However, those with undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees in the field are preferred. Furthermore, Outlier expects all candidates to have a great understanding of written English and clear communication skills.

How much does Outlier pay its contributors?

There are not fixed pay rates. The amount you get paid depends on your domain of expertise and qualifications.However, most projects have a pay rate ranging from 15 US dollars per hour to 50 US dollars per hour.

What payment methods does Outlier use to pay contributors?

Outlier pays all its contributors or workers on a weekly basis via Paypal and AirTM. 

How many hours per week do contributors work?

Outlier offers very flexible working hours to its contributors. Some contributors work approximately 5 to 10 hours per week, while others work 40 hours a week. Contributors earn based on how many hours they work throughout the week. It is important to note that the maximum number of hours you work per week  can be capped to a certain number based on your qualification, quality of your work, experience level, and task availability.

• creating unique, difficult questions for an AI model to answer and assisting in the creation of unique answers you would like the model to provide.
• Write complex and thought-provoking mathematics and reasoning prompts that help in strengthening the AI’s weakness in math and reasoning.
• Teach Large Language Models (LLMs) how to deliver highly efficient code following good programming practices.
• Rank a series of responses provided by the AI model based on their accuracy and correctness.
• Edit responses written by an AI model to ensure that they are accurate, factual, and relevant, and provide details on your reasoning and logic behind different corrections and evaluations.
